How to set up RequestPay and send payment request

The setup for Request Pay is simple and only needs to be done once for the product to run smoothly.

  • Set up deposit sources to exclude transfers from your own bank accounts.

To set up deposit sources, you will need the Account Holder’s Name, IBAN or account number, Bank Name, and a Bank Statement no older than 3 months. Our compliance team will verify the information and approve it.

  • Configure matching criteria—select the percentage match for payment reference, received amount, and sender name. This allows the receivables product to automatically match the received payment with the issued invoice or payment request. Remember, if it’s not automatically matched, you can still choose from the possible matches.

In Request Pay, go to 'Config' and click on 'Edit Config.' Here, you can select the percentage you want for the reference, payment, and sender name to match with the invoice for the automatic match to happen.

  • Select whether you want a second approver for payment requests.

In Request Pay, go to 'Config' and click on 'Edit Config.' Under 'Automated Request Pay Approvals,' you can toggle to turn on a second approval for payment requests created through API/Accounting, manually, or both.

  • Customise your logo and colours for the emails with payment requests sent to customers. This can be done in Settings > Business Config.
